Last of the Summer Photo Catch Up

This is at the zoo.

He went in and out of the gate a lot.

Holiday was really into the kimono dragons.

Kids snuggling on the couch.

This was the day David went to Pax and came home in time for bed time but Holiday just couldn't hang on that long. I was glad she had the presence of mind to change into her pajamas before she passed out in the laundry basket.

Meanwhile, Johnny and I were playing puzzles on the kindle.

This is the kids area at Bumbershoot.

Holiday likes to pose for the camera.

Johnny likes hiding.

And he liked the 'builder' hat.

Johnny helping Daddy.

They ran out of hardware pretty quickly.

But that didn't stop the kids.

They found other ways to work on it.

Here I am with the kids at Bumbershoot.

Now with the Space Needle in the shot.  Ellie is sitting on the killer whale sculpture.

Close up of Ellie and the kids.

Holiday posing again.

Holiday playing with her Anna.

The kids playing with Anna and Uncle Drew.

Johnny face!

That's a priceless look for Johnny.  He couldn't get enough of Uncle Drew.

Dance Class and New Booster Seat

Holiday's dance class started up again this weekend.  It's ballet/tap combo so she's excited.  Her class had 21 kids in it so they had to divide it into two classes.  She's in the one where the kids are a little older and more experienced so that pushed her class back an hour.  Perhaps one of the Saturday afternoon classes got cancelled to lack of turnout so they're putting the classes where there is actual demand.  But Holiday is in the same class with three other girls that have been there for the last two years like her plus the older girls.  Her current dimensions have placed her in a booster seat as of yesterday so she's pretty happy not to be in a car seat anymore.  Such a big girl now.  She's been enjoying the changes.  I find her imitating her teacher at home on the chalkboard.  It's pretty cute.  We went to my mom's house to visit on Saturday.  I think Johnny enjoyed the freedom of going in and out of the house because the screen door opens pretty easily.  Mom's backyard is fully fenced and we don't have that.  And there was way more adults around to supervise all the kids too.

More Summer Photo Catch Up

At the the King County Fair in the Expo Hall.

They really liked trying out all the vehicles.

They grow up so fast.

Couldn't get enough of it.

Johnny found the bunnies.

"Hi cow!"

Johnny really liked the animals.

The food was expensive but as you can see you get your money's worth.

It's like how Fred Flintstone would eat.

At Remlinger Farms, we had to take Johnny off seconds after this photo was taken.  Too much separation anxiety.

He liked the miniature steam locomotives much better.

Fully functional train, just miniature.

Both kids really liked the train ride.

This the antique car ride.  I think I would have gotten a better expression from Johnny if the sun wasn't directly in his face.

But Holiday sure liked driving.

This was an old fire truck converted into a climbing feature for kids.

Johnny liked it too.

Ready for drivin'.

After the pony rides.

Holiday sitting in the stagecoach...

...with Johnny...

...together.

Summer Photo Catch Up

Holiday and Peyton right before the rehearsal for the recital.

Holiday and Peyton are paired up for their big dance number.

Holiday with her class.

You have to search the faces for Holiday, but this is all the students and Rainier Dance Center.

Holiday taking a deep bow.

Holiday and Johnny snuggling in on the kids' chair.

In the motel room at Ocean Shores.

Probably after swimming.

Johnny was excited about crawling around on a big bed.

The kids had about as much fun in the room as they did out and about.

Holiday's new pink dolphin.

Holiday flying her first kite.

I'm down on the ground there.  Hard to believe there was so much action the night before during the 4th of July.  Next day was completely opposite.

She took to kite flying pretty well.

Johnny is boy through and through and likes driving trucks.

Both of the kids are big fans of the beach for different reasons.

Hello Kitty!

We saw this site on the way back from the beach to the motel.  How many deer do you see? (The answer is 2).
