Pictures of Othello Park

On the bridge.

Johnny really likes playgrounds.

Took Holly a while to be comfortable with the spiral feature.

It was pretty windy that day.

Not that either of the kids mind windiness.

Johnny likes slides.

Johnny did pretty good on this playground. He could do most of the features that they had there.

It was parent watch week for Holiday's dance class so David and I took turns watching. The kids always have trouble focusing when the parents are watching. Towards the end Holiday got it together. Bunch of 4 year olds...chaos, but fun chaos. We got to visit Grandma Linda again this weekend. She said she really enjoyed the 'card' that Holiday made for her. I guess Holiday made it complete with a bar code on the back of it. She made one for Daddy that same evening and when she was asked what that bar code meant she said it was 'the end'. Kids are great. On Sunday, Holiday and I got a lot of yard work done. We planted pumpkins, zucchini, broccoli, romaine, and dahlias in the greenhouse, then planted thyme and spinach in the back yard planter beds. That was a lot to plant and she stuck it out. She also helped with the transplanting of the really big daisy plants from the back yard to the front yard. Then she helped me rake and dispose of the last of the dead fallen leaves on the back side of the house. We filled up that green bin. If any a little girl deserved a chocolate milk it was Holiday.

Johnny's Sizes

-Phasing out diapers and wearing undies
-Currently size 4T

-Need to check his shoe size, has one pair of tennis shoes, boots and flip flops.
-Has summer wardrobe set. He'll need pants, long-sleeve shirts, winter weight pajamas, and socks in the fall. Probably will need a coat since we didn't get one last year. Jacket seems to fit for now.
-Loves trains-trains-trains, legos, balls, blocks, cars, Thomas trains, stuffed animals, music toys and board books. Still very tactile. Loves to color and read books. Very into Elmo, Blue's Clues and Thomas the Train and generally tv shows with music involved. He likes to do a happy dance to music. Also loves to play outside when he can. Did I mention he really loves trains?

Holiday's Sizes

- Holly is size 5 or XS depending on where you shop. If getting leggings I recommend a size 6 since she tends to fill those out.
- Shoe size 11.5, has boots, 1 pair of dress shoes, tennis shoes, ballet slippers, flip flops, sandals and tap shoes. Last summer she got new shoes at the beginning of summer camp and by the time school started her feet grew a size. So shoe size to be revisited before she goes back to school.
- She has a jacket and all the summer wardrobe necessary. She has a couple pairs of jeans, short sleeved shirts and short sleeved dresses. She will need long sleeved dresses, leggings, undies, and socks. Will need to check if her coat will carry through the winter.
- I'm not picky about colors, but Holly is a girlie girl. She doesn't care for jumpers too much either or scratchy tulle skirts.
- Some of Holly's interests include but are not limited to: Sesame Street, Yo Gabba Gabba, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Mickey Mouse, Super Why, Blue's Clues and animals in general. She loves to color, puzzles, books, stickers, legos and toys she can generally play pretend with. Holly also enjoys simple craft projects like ink stamping, painting and gluing projects. She really enjoys playing outside too (but she has more than plenty when it comes to toys to play in the sandbox).
