Random pictures - Pre-K Graduation - Dance Class

Johnny at the Southcenter Play Area.

Holly's right behind Johnny on the slide.

And again.

Peeping through the hole in the log.

Peek-a-boo.

Cheese! (He really is saying that).

It would have been...

...a crying shame...

...had not this girl...

...been in dance class.

Keep on 'Vogue'-ing Holiday.

This was during insect month.

I could not get enough of the hat.

Holiday had her Pre-K Graduation last Friday. Her class did a song and dance all dressed in black wearing dark shades.  When her class was on the stage her feet were hip width apart, hands behind her back on her waist.  At first I thought she was being tough girl then I realized this was their neutral position and she was the only one staying on top of it.  Then the song started, it was Will Smith's Men in Black.  Only they sang "Here comes the Pre-K class!"  They had moves and everything and again she was standing out at how good she was.  Each kid had an opportunity to do some kind of move solo.  Over half the kids passed since all the parents were watching.  But you know Holiday did it.  It was some kind kip I think, not sure if that exactly had a name, but it was great.  We might need to sign her up for Hip-Hop class when she's old enough.  Then on Saturday we did the combined class with 3 other classes.  Holiday did really well at listening and following instructions.  Johnny did well too that he didn't melt down or cause too big of a distraction to the dancers and we were able to stay and watch.  Johnny even got into the music every time a new song started up and started dancing himself.  It's Jackson themed this year so it's anything Jackson 5, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.  I really liked the tap class's dance to "Bad".  It's like the only time when dancers are told not to smile at the audience.  It was a lot of angry stomping and it looked like fun.  It certainly made an impression on Holiday, she called it the 'mad dance'.
